Slate Rothul was born in the year of the 68th Hunger Games. She was orphaned as a young girl and spent most of her life living and surviving on the streets, alone. Due to this she was often abused and mistreated by residents of District Nine and grew up feral. At one point during her childhood she found the house from her memories as a toddler to find a couple and their new baby living there.
