History
Quillon Blackfare was born in the year of the 59th Hunger Games. He was an identical twin. Orphaned at a young age, Quill and his brother Radley were raised by a local gang. This was a common upbringing for orphans of Nine, and had they not been selected the boys would have most definitely starved to death. Throughout their childhood the twins learned how to shoot a gun, fight with knives and basic hand-to-hand combat. Quill constantly lived in the shadow of his twin brother, who excelled at combat, and was deemed the 'unlucky' of the two due to his clumsiness and misfortune with girls, guys and injuries. This inferiority complex and constant paranoia led him to develop an addiction to alcohol, fueled when Radley abandoned him and their gang to work as a solo assassin.
77th Hunger Games
Pre-Games
Quill was visited by Radley in the Justice Building, much to his surprise. Furious at his brother for abandoning him, Quill and Radley had a scuffle in the waiting area - which Radley won, of course. On the train ride Quill and his district partner Mariela Pitre spoke briefly, with Quill expressing his disgust at the residents of Nine who cheered upon Mariela being reaped. He proceeded to drink himself silly and passed out on the couch.
In the Capitol, Quill kept mostly to himself - save for sneaking into Seven's sleeping quarters to have a one-night stand with future ally Tobias LaChance.
The Bloodbath
Quill entered the bloodbath and landed a few punches, receiving a few hits back from various tributes. After falling to the ground and blaming his own bad luck, he left the Bloodbath with nothing but an axe in a foul mood.
Early Games
The Dream Thieves stumbled across a hunt immediately after the Bloodbath. Quill stabbed Alice Sullivan in the chest before Ansel Khiev and Daniela Rosoio finished her off. Aware that there were skilled fighters among the group, his alliance fled immediately upon the instruction of leader Jacinta Salazar.
The alliance regrouped, exchanging weapons of their preference. Jacinta gifted Quill her scythe in exchange for an axe.
Death
On Day 2, in the group fight between Dream Thieves and Daddy Issues, Quill's alliance was surprised by the opposition. Tobias shoved Quill out of the way from a thrown spear by Ansel Khiev - and in retaliation, Ansel plunged another spear into Quill's neck in front of Tobias. Quill died in Tobias' arms, choking on his own blood.
Trivia
- Quill and Radley were based off of Qrow and Raven Branwen from the anime RWBY.
- Quillon preferred to go by his nickname 'Q' rather than his full name, as he felt it was a mouthful.
- In the RWBY anime, Qrow's signature weapon is a scythe. Quill also carried this with him in the arena.
- In the 'in-between', a fictional afterlife for Zoe's tributes, he brought ravens - an ode to the characters that inspired the twins creation.
