The Seeley was designed to stalk their prey from underneath the ice. The Capitol wanted more suprise attacks to get more sudden drama going in the Games. Their body is that of a leopard seal, grey and white with black spots, and rather large, being at about 13 feet in total length. Despite their size, if they are on ice, they can move quickly by twisting their body side to side like a sidewinder to chase they prey. Underneath the fur is thick, leathery skin much like a rhinoceros's, and another rhino trait is the hard upward-facing horn protruding from on top of its nose. The Seeley uses this horn to break through the ice in order to attack tributes, sometimes just lunging out of the water far enough to bite a tribute's leg and just drag them under the ice. Its teeth are all sharp and jagged aside from the two long tusks that stick down from its top jaw. In these tusks is tetrodotoxin poison, which can, if the tip of the tusks are in a living tribute's body long enough, can cause the diaphragm muscles to freeze up, overall numbness, rapid heart rate, low blood pressure, and muscle paralysis. After roughly 24 hours, the poison will kill you.

Half goat, half monkey, and roughly the size of a young child, these mutts were originally bred to be highly efficient trash collectors. They have curly reddish fur, brown eyes, short pointed beards, horns on their foreheads, the lower body of a goat, and the torso of a primate. Combining a goat's predilection to eat nearly anything with a monkey's opposable thumbs and upper body climbing abilities, no debris was beyond their reach. The experiment was highly successful, particularly in colder climates, as their thick coats of fur would lead to heat exhaustion in warm weather. Unfortunately, it was discovered that they were prone to hoarding most of the parcels trash they collected and would become dangerously territorial when unsuspecting citizens wandered across one of their food hoards. They are otherwise mild-mannered and even somewhat friendly, although this is usually due to hopes that the person they're encountering will have something shiny and new for them to lay claims to.

This unusual variety of caterpillar, unlike most of its counterparts, spends its entire life slowly smouldering, rather than working towards metamorphosis into a butterfly. The Carrolpillar is a vibrant blue, and its four-inch body houses a variety of chemicals, including several necessary for a combustion reaction that one kamikaze insect uses as a very effective defense mechanism when it feels that the Carrollpillar colony is threatened. Carrollpillars burn up stores of toxins in their bodies, which produce a broad spectrum of unpleasant effects in their victims, spanning from severe hallucinations to seizures or cardiac arrest.

==== Kraken ====
 +
No longer merely the stuff of legends, the Kraken was created by madcap Capitol scientists solely for recreational purposes; they wanted to see if they could legitimately succeed in bringing the mythological beast to life. The project was completed in an underwater laboratory off the coast of District Four; it took over two years, but eventually a mixture of the genes of a colossal squid, an octopus, a spider crab, and a whole lot of growth hormone produced a massive ocean creature unlike any other: the Kraken. For years it was held in a tank as Capitol scientists tried to determine a use for it, but when the 61st arena plans were presented, they knew it was time to put their monster to use. Tributes crossing the ocean, beware; contrary to popular belief, this beast is not immortal, but it would take a whole lot of daring strength and innate skill to kill it.

* The tributes were threatened with the prospect of fighting the Kraken should they fail to show up at the feast. As a result, [[Jana Hale]] and [[Cyrus Malloc]] were dragged into the ocean and forced to fight the beast. Cyrus died in the process, but Jana was able to defeat the sea monster.

==== Suction Stars ====
 +
The Capitol intended to genetically alter sea stars by injecting a chemical that would make them bio-luminescent, so that they could stick onto rebels attempting to make an escape through bodies of water and make them glow in the dark. Scientists managed to successfully increase the sea stars' power of suction, so that they could not be removed by any means that were not surgical, but try as they might, no chemical would make them glow. Frustrated and unable to find a use for extremely sticky sea stars that didn't glow, the Capitol released them into the ocean, where they multiplied. To this day, Suction Stars line the coast of District Four, and the Gamemakers decided to transport some to the 61st arena to have a little fun with the tributes.

==== Silver Sirens ====

These seafaring demons were originally engineered to lure out any refugees that may be attempting an escape by sea. At the time people were being boated halfway to an offset island at night, and they would swim the rest of the way, guided to the island by the songs of whales that would pass through the waters. The Capitol caught wind of this little operation however, and in an act of cruelty, before bombing the island and its inhabitants, they created what would become commonly known as Silver Sirens. By integrating DNA of a beluga whale into a manta ray, they were able to give a species of ray the ability to create the same alluring songs. However, neither species was vicious enough to pose a threat to the swimming rebels, so further altercations needed to be made. By adding the venomous two-stinger tail of the whip-tailed stingray, the muttation was given a deadly weapon to wield. Additionally the creature was designed to exude more predatorial instincts to that its cousin, the shark. Given the already highly intellectual abilities of the manta ray, the engineered version of this creature made for a deadly encounter as it will purposefully use its soothing melodies to lure in its victims.

==== Pyrates ====

These crab-like creatures were originally used to steal valuable documents, artifacts, etc. from the rebelling Districts. Though quite large, about a foot tall and two feet across, they are quite fast and nimble, especially their claws/pincers, which can snatch an object in an blink of an eye. They are encased in a hard exoskeleton, except for its underside, which is its weak spot. Scurrying about on six legs, these creatures hide in the sand, until they sense a human worthy of looting. They love to plunder objects from humans, especially shiny weapons. If caught, Pyrates will not be afraid to use its razor-sharp pincers to defend its loot. They often attack in pairs.

==== Chickunk ====
 +
'''Created by Sheena'''
 +
 +
A combination of a chicken and a skunk (of all things), a chickunk was designed by the Capitol to trick deserters; the pleasant appearance of a prairie bird would cause an individual to try and kill it, but the spray that it emmitted (as a skunk would emit its spray) in self-defense would then paralyze its attacker. When this was done, a tracker chip within the animal would alert the authorities. This allowed the Capitol to easily track down their criminals. The one flaw with the tracking system was that it went off whenever a chickunk would spray anything, which meant a lot of wasted time and money. Eventually, the Capitol no longer found these creatures useful and took them all out of the wild. However, some had reproduced before their capture, leaving a small population around Panem that was untraceable. They are very rare. The chickunks have all of the features of a chicken and are very similar in size. However, they have the colouring and markings of a skunk (black with two white stripes down their feathered backs). They're rather shy creatures and scare very easily, causing paralysis quickly and often. The spray is strong enough to knock a full-grown male out for a complete 24-hour period, but cannot kill.

==== Sea Cobran ====
 +
'''Credit to Arx'''
 +
 +
The Seacobran is a Sea Snake/Cobra/Chameleon breed mix. Developed during the dark ages, it was designed as a super vicious and venomous amphibious species. By placing the new species along the coastline, the new species would begin to thrive and slowly move inland and become quite the weapon on beaches, in the ocean, and even in desert areas and woods. The snake is not the most subtle, with blue and black stripes along it's body and a crown on it's head, but with the ability to blend into it's surroundings, it is easy to miss just before stepping on it. It isn't very large or lengthy, but it packs a punch when it comes to it's bite. The bite and venom can cause powerful hallucinations and massive headaches as well as nausea and loss of limb control. The mouth is also specifically engineered so that there is as much bleeding as possible.
