Life
Early Life
Naida was the second child of a fisherman father and his wife, born in the year of the 44th Hunger Games. She spent the first few years of her life out on boats with her father, learning the ways of the trade. However, when she was 11 and her brother was Reaped and consequentially killed in the Games, Naida's outlook on life changed. She, along with her younger brother and sister, grew to hate the Games and the Capitol, hearing stories of lower districts with barely enough food to survive. Naida feared the Games ever since she was eligible for the Reaping, hoping her time would never come.
61st Hunger Games
The Reaping
Naida was Reaped with Sperring Kapow in the 59th District 4 Reaping. Both of the tributes made a scene, with Naida refusing to move and having to be dragged onto the stage in front of her screaming family in the stalls. All she could do was continue to scream "it's not fair!" as she became the second Gardez to be Reaped to represent the District. when her father smiled at her and told her how like her older brother she was, Naida managed to regain her composure, accepting her place as the female tribute.
Training Centre
Naida made her way around the Stations in the Training Centre with the attention that a Career tributes can only expect. She shunned most of the introductions, feeling uneasy around so many weapons and thinking of her dead brother. Instead, she spent time at the first aid and survival stations, and there met Berkley Ichabod and Dysis Admea. The three bonded and agreed to be allies, all feeling better off because of it. Naida's discomfort haunted her i her week in the Training Centre, meaning that when it came to the time of her Private Training Session, she only managed to score a 4 out of 12.
Bloodbath
When the gong sounded, and tributes started running together, Naida took a moment to stand safe on her podium and survey the scene. It had been barely half a minute and tributes were already lying dead on the ground. She spotted a sword and ran straight for it, knocking another tribute over in the process. It was too heavy for such a small girl but it was a weapon nonetheless. Before she had time to react, the tribute she had pushed over was after her in return, dealing her a deep cut on her right forearm. A moment later she was attacked again, a blade sinking deep into her stomach before she could even turn to block it. Naida knew that the longer she stayed in the Bloodbath, the worse off she would be - and her so called "allies" were nowhere to be found. She fled the Bloodbath then, holding her sword close to her and trying not to catch the attention of anyone else.
Day 1
Naida was relieved to find her allies again in the East Frozen Jungle after the Bloodbath. The three were badly hurt but they tended to their wounds and recovered, setting up camp for the bitter cold night.
Day 2
The Forgotten Ones were woken up at first light and hastily packed up their things. They decided to head north, to the Frozen Waterfall, hoping that the distance between it and the Cornucopia would mean that they wouldn't encounter any other tributes. However, they weren't so lucky, and found that the Bros alliance had already reached the waterfall. The two alliances joined in a fight, Naida and her teammates still heavily wounded and at a disadvantage for being the smaller alliance. Naida was the first out of her alliance to attack, stabbing Denver deep in the back as he lunged at Dysis, and continuing her brutal attacks by then slicing off his left hand. Even so, despite Denver's injuries, Dysis was still weaker, and Naida knew the moment that Mace's spear plunged into her foot that they could expect cannon fire imminently. Dysis begs Naida and Berkley to run, and run they did.
Day 3
By crossing from the Frozen Waterfall to the West Frozen Jungle, Naida and Berkley managed to avoid meeting any tributes on Day Three. Instead, they intended to spend the day "chilling out", but while Naida was collecting firewood they were interrupted by Shayde Truedheart who immediately attacked Berk. Other tributes soon joined Shayde, all turning on Berk, who then fled to find his ally. Naida managed to patch him up a bit, hoping that they could avoid the alliance with a vendetta against Berkley for the rest of the day. Retreating back to the frozen waterfall seemed to be the smartest thing they could do that night after the anthem had come and gone.
Day 4
The duo found a part of the waterfall that wasn't so frozen, and were going for a dip when two Hellohound muttations seemed to appear from nowhere. Naida noticed them before Berk, who was still drying off, and swung her sword at one of them with shivering hands. The sword glanced off, but gave the two tribute time to set themselves in a battle formation. Both hellhounds attacked Naida fiercely, cutting her head as she turned to make sure Berk was up and ready and then slicing deep into her right bicep. A series of horrific attacks on both parts ensued, but Naida and Berk managed to kill on of the Hellhounds, severing on limb at a time. This only made the second hellhound angrier, and it dealt a severe gash to Naida's calf. Not wanting to stand around and get torn to piece, Naida and Berkley fled.
Day 5 & Death
That night was probably the most difficult for Naida and her ally, as they set off just as the anthem finished and didn't reach their destination - the Tundra - until the next morning. So, when thye found Midas Farrow alone on the ice, they were almost too tired to attack straightaway. Midas launched at Naida, missing by a distance, and she lunged right back and grazed his arm. Berk seemed just as tired when Midas blocked his attack and threw himself at Naida again. By this point, the two-person alliance were waking up, and in the one. Naida his his stomach, Berk his back, and they seemed to be gaining the advantage once again. Then a new force came to topple the balance - in the form of Alexander Hood, Mace Emberstatt and Sawyer Monaghan, all three intent on targeting Naida and Berk. In her fatigued and injured state, Naida knew she couldn't take much more, and the appearance of this new alliace filled her with dread. Alexander was her killer, in the end, cutting her sword arm and rendering her defenseless. Two cannons fired, signifying not only Midas' death but Naida's as well, and the girl was no more.
