Early Life

Cilla was born into a family with high expectations. Her elder brother fell short of what her parents expected them to achieve, he was punished, and the continuos vile treatment he has received from their mother and father has left him a scarred shell of who he was. She was forced into full-time career training by the time she could walk, and was never allowed a day off. They were the typical parents that raised children in district 2, breeding them to become victors, uncaring of the damage that they caused. They didn't care that Cilla did not want to kill or fight to the death, they wanted their champion and they'd stitch a crown to her head if they had to.

"But they were your stereotypical career parents, blinded by some crazy-ass dream that their one and only daughter would become their champion."

Family

"Her brother was forbidden from seeing her mother, the woman believing that until her son stopped acting like a two year old having a tantrum he was not worthy to be her son at all. "

Her elder brother Ossin used to follow the same strict routine. But ever since walking into the house one morning proclaiming that he had an imaginary friend he had been forgotten, literally. Cilla's parents pretended he didn't exist, their mother was adamant that she no longer had a son at all. At the age of eighteen they expected him to volunteer to participate in the games, and unless he stood up and did so he'd remain dead in their mother's eyes. Cilla's mother is dying, carrying a disease that is slowly killing her she places every ounce of pressure and drop of guilt she can onto her husband and children. In return they are overcome, where Ossin as turned to an imaginary friend Cilla has become a china doll, a plaything for her father, who bashes her and performs other acts of violence whenever he is displeased.

"My mother, aside from a victor crown had never wanted anything to do with me."

Weapons

"Her choice of weapon was the bow and arrow and half length twin katanas."

Although her parents believed the bow and arrow to be a cowards weapon she found that they were perfect. Never had she felt such flow with a weapon in her hands, or as much love as the feeling that came from the bow in her hands and the arrows over her shoulder. She found them easy to use, natural talent springing up as she used the weapon. The power and strength behind the drawing of the bow was comforting, and she found that the bow and arrow was often symbolic of the chaos in her life. However, after pressuring and a considerable amount of guilt -- forced upon her by her ill mother she was forced to take up another weapon. Her parents refused to have their daughter using a weapon they classified as nothing more then inferior to something like a sword. After training for so long with the bow and arrow Cilla found it impossible to adjust to a one-handed weapon, so instead she started using half-length twin katanas, the duel wielding of the blades evidently more effective for her.

Sol

" He still had those same dead eyes, that same face that looked as though it had seen a lot of pain."

Sol is a boy that continuously appears in Cilla's life. After first challenging him to a fight that ended with her bleeding and bloody, and her seeing a glimpse of the torment in him she found him once again at a hospital. It was there that she came to terms with the fact that both of them lead tormented lives, and she wants to understand his, she wants to help heal him. Even though she doesn't know it, nor does Sol, just his presence calms her.
