Dru was born in district twelve. However, her mother died a few hours after childbirth and the girl whose name was Lily Brown at the time was adopted by a peacekeeper named Johanna LeBouef who took her to the Capitol and named her Chanel. Johanna had a daughter of her own who started getting jealous of her adoptive sister's beauty by the age of ten. So Chanel was given to the hospital to be experimented on, where her memory was erased, and after recovery she was given another name and sent to district one to live with the Charlesburgs. Dru was born in district twelve.
