Anani Petros was the District 12 male tribute in the 56th Hunger Games. He is notable for being, as the older brother of Aranica Petros, the site's first sibtrib.

History
Anani was born in District One; he and his three-years-younger sister, Nisa (later Aranica) ended up in District Twelve after their father fled there with them to protect them from their mother. Ultimately she killed him, but died from injuries sustained in the fight; Anani looked after Aranica for a time in the wood surrounding District Twelve but was ill-equipped to do so and eventually abandoned her to live in town. He sought her back out after seeing her in the Games, and they reconciled—not without some difficulty, but genuinely—before he was Reaped the following year.
