Wander Sibley

Wander Sibley (ve/ver/vis/vis/verself) was a tribute in the 80th Hunger Games, Reaped in the District Four Male position. Ve is notable for being openly nonbinary and being really good at using a spear whenever ve wasn't really bad at it. Ve now lives back in District Four again and is just fine everything is fine forever bye.

Ve was Reaped again (this time as, for bureaucratic reasons, the District Four Female) for the 83rd Games and was Not About That Life; Bell Hailsham volunteered for the position.

History

• Pretty chill, mostly. Tuna-fisher-in-training kid from a clamming family; busy but supportive parents; eldest of four.

80th Hunger Games

Ve was in these.

Day One

• Bloodbath sucked but could've gone worse. Talked to Carter a little and then angsted about it because oh no you're my friend but you attacked my other friend. Ended up in way longer than planned or expected because WT wanted their dang Polaroid but also ve wanted to help Annie, vis District partner; with Eve and Temple (Bette already having fled), had an awkward standoff with Denali and Lex over the Wealth before peacing out.
• Had... basically a nice evening, actually, once Eve was patched up. Fished, took a group selfie, flew some makeshift kites.

Day Two

• AV:LNC got kind of wasted on account of some bats, but managed to escape getting wasted by said bats.
• Caught some birds to send roses to Annie and Carter (the latter of whom ve would learn that evening had already died).

Day Three

• AV tracked some terrifying mutts through the Petrified Forest for like an hour only to find out that they were three inches tall and kill them in five hits, r.i.p. Morrigan and Morana.
• Found Yusei in time to stay with him as he died, r.i.p. Yusei.

Day Four

• Ran into the Tumblehoes in the Gold Mine; tried to convince everyone to turn around and pretend they never saw each other, but everyone started fighting anyway and Parson cut off a couple of Eve's fingers so Wander took out his throat and was kind of in shock about it.
• Met up with Annie, it was v bittersweet, I'm still crying about these D4s.
• Met up with Denali (who knew Bette from the Training Center) and Lex and everyone spent the evening being adorable around a campfire and I'm still crying about that too.

Day Five

• Oh shit earthquake, oh shit we hit the ocean and I remember from when I was like seven that tsunamis are a thing that can happen, oh shit CoA are here and I just mostly-accidentally started a fight and I need to see it through.
• Killed Fiona; got sad at Carmen; annoyed, and was annoyed by, Quest; got killed by Carmen (ft. the rest of CoA).
• Told Eve and Bette and Temple that tsunamis are a hell_kim and they should go inland for a while; said goodbyes; went to the water to die.
• Did not die.

Trauma? What trauma?? Everything's fine (everything is not fine (but it will be, eventually)).

Wander is the first and so far only character to be Reaped twice in two different positions--as D4M in the 80th, and as D4F in the 83rd.
