Carex Julian is a tribute in the 55th Hunger Games. He is notable for his constant switch of alliances and Lips of Death, along with being infamously slain by Dru Charlesburg merely seconds after harming Aranica Petros. He is Matta's very first character on the site and is also his most successful tribute, coming in 8th place.

Carex Julian is the first born child and only son of Aiken and Camelia Julian. His mother unfortunately died while giving birth to his little sister, Piper. Carex and his father tried their best to raise the girl together, but on one fateful day, the four year old girl was hit and killed by a falling tree.
