Takeba Suzumi was the District 4 female tribute in the 56th Hunger Games. She is notable for resulting in the death of literally every male she came in contact to, barring Anani Petros, and for her characteristic verbosity.

Training and Interview

"May we all have the gracious blessings to live on, to keep living on after death, and to keep dying as we live on. I say to all that may we improve ourselves through death and living, as I, Takeba Suzumi, have expressed. Thank you for the time, Ceaser, and for Panem to watch my interview."

—Takeba Suzumi, final remarks in her tribute interview.

On her first day of training, Takeba was quick to approach Topaz Ross and Nash Harvey in order to interact with the other Career girls, but it was not until Anani Petros approached the trio with an alliance proposition that the foursome agreed to work together, with Takeba herself proclaiming to be honored to be part of a group. Later on in training, there was minimal interaction between Takeba and Will Atlas, who'd just injured his knee.

During her interview, Takeba was playfully reprimanded by Caesar Flickerman for being loquacious. He needed to remind the tribute of the times of the length limit on interviews, although Takeba had a hard time limiting her speech, and would occasionally talk over the host. In her babbling, some of the meaning seemed to be lost on him.
