Early Life

Blue was born in District 12. She has two younger twin siblings, Tally and Coy Killio. Her mother died during childbirth with the twins when Blue was ten years old. She has a silver blue locket that she keeps with her always, in memory of her mother. She is a shy and resigned girl that does not enjoy talking to others. Her siblings are hers to protect, and she does all she can to do so. She has a scar from an injury that she sustained as a child that runs down her shoulder to her elbow.

The Reaping

At the reaping she was shocked to have been picked, and feared for her brother and sister. She was most upset at the fact that she would have to be leaving them behind. As they had no one to care for them but Blue, she recognized the danger they were in if she were to die. She cries out to them before being taken away and into the games.

The Training Center

Blue was noticeably absent throughout the weeks of training. She did not interact much with her fellow tributes, and earned a score of 7 during personal training. During her interview she is relieved because of her score, and reveals that she misses her father and siblings very much. She doesn’t want anyone to doubt that district 12 could be a winner of the games.

Early Games

During the bloodbath, Blue thought only of her siblings back home. She was nervous awaiting the announcement of the games, and felt as though time was slowing down. As the gong sounded, she rushed off her pedestal to collect what she needed. After fleeing the bloodbath, she ran into Prenten and Oz, but decided to flee rather than fight. On day two, Blue runs into Jestina, and immediately attacks her with her knife. She does not stop to think, but only lunges for her opponent. She winds up breaking Jestina’s leg in the process, and blocks most of her blows. In the end, she decides to allow Jestina to live and join her in an alliance.

Mid Games

Day Three begins with Jestina and Blue running into Jared. They attack him and lash out at the fact that he is happy to have contributed to the killing of the games. Unfortunately, Jared proves the superior fighter, and kills her ally, Jestina in the process. Alone at the lake, Blue runs into Jeremy Houser. The two battle, and Jeremy begs for his life. Blue decides that she cannot let him live, as they are getting closer to the end of the games, and someone must die. She is one of the few tributes to avoid the feast on day six.

Late Games

Day seven brings a battle between Windy, Jared, and Blue. For the most part, Blue avoided being targeted by Windy and Jared, and contributed mostly to attacking Jared. The fight ends, however, when Windy decides to kill herself, rather than having Jared do so. Jared flees before Blue can finish him off, and she’s left to wait another day to face him. Day Eight brings her battle with Ailis, whom she had been asked to protect. Blue reneges on her promise, however, and proceeds to destroy the young girl. In the end, Ailis can’t compete with Blue’s attacks, and is killed.

Death

In the finale, Blue was forced to face Jared and Arbor. She is sleeping on the golden horn when Jared approaches, waking her. She immediately moves to attack him, which proves a fatal mistake. Arbor arrives on the scene and works with Jared to eventually kill Blue. She asks Arbor to take her token back to her siblings before dying.
