Early Life
Pre Reaping
Dalton grew up not knowing his mother as she died during childbirth. He didn't like his father because his father wanted him to be a hunter when Dalton didn't want to. He was ordered by the head peacekeeper to kill the other peacekeepers plotting to destroy him. Dalton did as he was told. He became an assassin and a spy since then.
Reaping
Dalton thought he would become the career of district 9 as his father taught him how to hunt and gather. His name was reaped and he stumbled onto the stage having second thoughts. He knew deep in his heart that nobody would miss him when he died. His name being reaped finally gave him the opportunity to get away from his father. He looked out in the crowd and found his father. His father was drunk and passed out. He stood confident at the stage not worrying about his father.
Pre Arena
Training
Dalton walked into the training center on the first day of training. He went to the plant station. He talked to Ruby at the plant station in hopes of becoming allies. Dalton admired Ralph's axe throwing skills. He wanted to ally with Ralph along with Ruby and Iris. He then walked over to the camouflage station. He went back over to the knife throwing station with Iris to teach her how to throw. He received a score of 7 in private training.
Interview
Dalton is confident with his score of a 7. He's not worried about being a target, and he's hopeful of still getting sponsors. The food has blown him away out of all the Capitol. He loves the chicken. He doesn't want to win for anyone back home. He stated that he doesn't have any free time at all because he's busy. The mood changes when he's asked about his family because he doesn't really have a family. His mother died, and his father hates him. When asked what he misses he advised he didn't miss anything. He actually said bye to his father and wished the rest of the tributes luck.
The Arena
Bloodbath
Dalton was the 19th tribute to enter the bloodbath at the cornucopia. He went in willing to kill and willing to win. He was going to kill anyone that stood in his way other than Ralph, Iris, and Ruby. As the clock counts down the time to begin, he looks at Ralph and winks as to say "Good luck." He looks back at the items at the cornucopia to figure out what he needed to grab in order to win. He looks over at Iris and Ruby knowing they are stronger than they actually look. The Gong sounds and Dalton takes off running.
Death
Dalton runs towards the cornucopia to grab the weapons of choice, the spear, and knives. He turned to attack someone but he felt the pain. He knew he was in trouble. He feels the blood running down his chest. He looks down to see a knife sticking out of his chest. He keeps fighting as he tries to grab a first aid kit to control the bleeding but he doesn't get the chance to. Another knife plunges into his back. He looks over at Ralph as Ralph's neck gets snapped. Dalton then breathes his last breathe.
