Early Life
Atlas was a traditional Career in District Two, one half of a set of twins looked after by their father, Nero. Although the Cornells lived in a Career district, they were struck by poverty, and so Nero trained the twins himself to save money. As Atlas grew up and his training intensified - including a strict diet and a lack of any formal academic education, Atlas knew more and more that he wanted to enter the Hunger Games - and become a martyr of them.

Reaping and Training
When Atlas' name was called, he thought of himself watching the 58th Games - the first time he decided his fate was to die in the Games. The night before, he had walked and climbed mountains until the early morning, but wasn't too tired. Atlas was Reaped alongside Demeter Merwin-Glory.
When Atlas started training, he knew he'd have to befriend the Careers - the only allies who would be strong enough to keep him safe. Atlas spied Kiera Dempsey and Peridot Myler, who were speaking with Wednesdae Drummond - a surprising choice, however Atlas had seen how strong and determined he was. The four bonded, and called their alliance The Argonauts.
Atlas' Private Training Session
Atlas achieved a 7 in his Private Training Session, by displaying his strength to the Gamemakers - carrying and pulling up a heavy training dummy and then beating it down with a club.
In Atlas' interview, he revealed to Caesar how solitary he was back in District Two. Coming out afterwards, Atlas didn't think he had een particularly notable - especially because of his low training score. However, as he was determined to die rather than win the Hunger Games, he wasn't so worried.
Bloodbath and Death
With his allies, Atlas had a newfound duty in the Arena, and it was this that he thought of as he waiting to ascend before the Bloodbath. Atlas was determined to reach the Wealth, to get supplies for his allies - perhaps his friends. As soon as the cannon went, he and his allies sprinted towards each other - however Atlas was immediately targeted by other tributes as being the weakest of the four Argonauts. Lower district tributes Almar Nichols, Dragan Baron and Vitani Loewen rained blows don on him, and Atlas felt his leg being severed. At this point he gave up hope of obtaining any more items and instead focused on dragging himself away from the Cornucopia. However he hadn't got far when the final blow was dealt to him by Vitani. Atlas perished, leaving his three remaining allies to fend for themselves.
