Early Life

Dysis grew up in a family that was neither poor nor rich. She was an only child in the lumber industry of district nine. From a very young age Dysis fell in love with climbing. It became such a passion of hers that eventually it was her one and only source of happiness. Home became a misery as her parents were thrown deeper and deeper into poverty and whenever she was not climbing, falling and swinging she was on the streets facing the sorrows of life with men threatening to steal from her and rob her with every turn. It was a life that she was scared of and the only respite she got was when she climbed onto the limbs of the trees and jumped. Jumping gave her pleasure, she loved the feeling of falling more then anything, because as soon as you jumped you fell and it was amazing to her. The best thing in the entire world. Her parents hated her hobby, for fearing what could happen one day.

One day Dysis found a swinging rope, intrigued by the idea of it she tried it and instantly fell in love. It was just like climbing except it never ended and you just swung and flew and moved through the air. It was on a day that she decided to climb as high as she could, so high into the tree that the ground seemed to sway. She was dying her swinging rope to the branches of the limbs when the world took a sharp tilt and she fell. She fell to the floor. But she did not die, she snapped her arm and from then on she was so scared of climbing. The idea of getting up high always made her nervous. It affected her more then that she became shy and introverted. afraid of most things. After a long time of this she heard the call of a bird as she was walking home. Her head snapped up and she found herself looking at the old swinging rope. Bravely she stepped forwards grasping it and with a small push she began to swing once more.

And she hasn't stopped since.

Training Centre

It was in the training center where Dysis meet her allies. After surviving the reaping all by herself she was forced to find some people she could rely on. After the nightmares of the Capitol Dysis is struggling to sought out reality from her terrors. She is really struggling with everything that is happening to her. After fighting with a sword for the great part of the day she eventually stops, her coach telling her she is getting sloppy. At the hardly friendly remark she dropped the sword, walking away. Eventually she stopped, politely asking another tribute where she might find some water. Naida Gardez turns around to Face Dysis, the two get along straight away with Naida speaking longingly of her old home, and how much she missed the ocean. After Dysis meets Naida, Berkley Ichabod joins in, rudely telling Dysis that she needs to improve with her sword. Before Dysis can reply he apologises for being rude. The three of the seem instantly comfortable with each other Dysis quickly replies to Berkley, snorting at his comments.

By the end of this first meeting the group have formed strong ties and by the time the games come around they have formed an alliance. Dysis does not talk to many of the other tributes in this period of time.

Bloodbath

At the begining Dysis seems unable to focus on the world around her. She just wants this to all be a dream and she hopes she won't have to fight, but then the cold bites at her and she is shoved back into reality. With tears freezing on her eyes she looks around at the white wonderland before her. She looks at the world that will be her home and realises how fake it is. "The Capitolites can not recreate winter, because winter comes from the heart, with they do not have." As the gong rings out Dysis hesiataes as though she does not want to run into the thick of the battle and then suddenly she steps forwards, her movements slow as though there is no rush and then she is running, feet flying against the cold hard ground.

As soon as she enters she is faced with four tributes lunging at her. They attack her, hitting her and sending her stumbling, gasping with the pain in her leg from the more serious wounds. Knowing she can not leave this place without a weapon she lunges forwards, swinging her arms at Sawyer Monaghan, her hands then grasping the first weapon that comes into her sight. But the attacks do not stop, more people leap forwards, hitting her and hurting her with their weapons. Dysis overwhelmed by the people wanting to kill her turns and runs, hands clinging to the knife she had grabbed, the only things she had managed to escape with.

Day One

After fleeing from the bloodbath Dysis is finally able to catch up with her allies. They meet on the edge of the icebound world, each wearing matching clothes and carrying wounds that made them all ache. Berkley is first to break the silence by asking them all if they got anything good. Dysis having suffered a grievous pounding from so many tributes was only able to escape with a simple knife. Struggling with her old memories of home the first thing Dysis can think of is climbing and jumping from a tree, to feel that happiness that she missed, she needed to fall again. But she couldn't. Berkley snaps at her, getting her to once more focus, they are both nervously awaiting the arrival of their last ally, hoping she had made it through. Disappointed in her small cache of goods she attempts to make her failure up to them by getting some food. However her attempt at catching some food fail and she is forced to face an alliance who has done much better then her, whilst she stands there empty handed. By the end of the day Dysis is promising her allies that she will make it up to them, that she won't fail again.

Day Two

Day two seems to spring upon Dysis, bringing with it the cruel reality of her situation. Her alliance is thrown up against the power house alliance The Bros where all of them jump straight at Dysis. She struggles to retaliate, her allies fighting beside her, she is panicking and screaming at her attackers to stop. She knows they all hate her and want to kill her, but she keeps fighting, stabbing at them with her knife. And before Dysis even knows what is happening she is struck down, the final blow dealt by the fearsome Mace Emberstatt.
